Volleyball Recap: Charter Oak Takes a Loss

Charter Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rio Hondo Prep Kares.

Charter Oak was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24.

Charter Oak's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rio Hondo Prep, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Charter Oak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Flintridge Sacred Heart on the 16th. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Pomona Catholic on the 16th.
