Basketball Recap: Tallassee Comes Up Short

Tallassee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Montgomery Catholic Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-58 last Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Tallassee still got an impressive performance from Rowen Thornton, who posted 31 points. The match was Thornton's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Gordon, who scored seven points.

Tallassee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Montgomery Catholic, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Tallassee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-57 loss against Stanhope Elmore on the 27th. Montgomery Catholic has also already played their next contest, a 60-54 defeat against Trinity Presbyterian on the 27th.
