Basketball Recap: San Francisco International Huskies vs. Sterne Dolphins

San Francisco International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sterne Dolphins. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-38 last Friday.

Sterne was led to victory by Rico Duenas and Andrew Jones. Duenas dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Jones dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Duenas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayn Troutman, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

San Francisco International's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sterne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
