Basketball Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Plainview Hornets

The Georgetown Bulldogs will challenge the Plainview Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Georgetown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

On Tuesday, Georgetown greeted the New Year with with a 75-61 victory over Claiborne Christian.

Meanwhile, Plainview entered their tilt with South Beauregard on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Knights 70-52. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Knights are ranked 286th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Plainview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
