Softball Game Preview: Eastside Rams vs. Cedar Key Sharks

The Eastside Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Cedar Key Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastside lost 16-2 to North Marion on Wednesday.

Eastside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nylah Francois, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was Francois' first of the season. Another was Ste'Keriyonna Johnson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Cedar Key was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against P.K. Yonge, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Blue Wave: they've now lost six in a row.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Cedar Key, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Eastside might still be hurting after the 17-5 loss they got from Cedar Key when the teams last played back in February. Can Eastside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
