Volleyball Recap: Claire Endter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Greendale over Green Bay Preble

Greendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Green Bay Preble Hornets. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Greendale's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Endter, who had eight assists and four aces. Maggie Abedini also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Greendale's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Green Bay Preble, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Greendale has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Kenosha Bradford on the 4th. As for Green Bay Preble, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Indian Trail on the 4th.
