Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Comes Up Short

Indianapolis Scecina Memorial was the 57-55 winner over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly nine points.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexander Lake led the charge by going 6 for 12 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Lake is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ari Sahm, who posted 12 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.

Looking ahead, Indianapolis Scecina Memorial will face off against Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on February 15th. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard has already played their next game (against Park Tudor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
