HOLCOMB, Kan. -
Scott (Scott City, Kan.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Tim Bole kicked a field goal with less than a minute remaining, bringing the team to victory over
Holcomb (Kan.) 31-28.
By the end of the third, the Beavers found themselves trailing by seven points as the Longhorns captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. Holcomb scored on a
Heath Tucker touchdown run and a Tucker touchdown pass to
Corey Roth in the quarter.
When the two teams played each other last season, Scott came away with a 47-7 victory.
The win brought Scott's winning streak to three games.
In a Great West game next week Holcomb (1-2) takes on Goodland, and Scott (3-0) will go up against Ulysses also in a Great West game.
