Recap: Sheridan Rams vs. DSST: College View Wolves
This season hasn't been kind to the Sheridan Rams, who are still winless after their fourth game. They suffered a tough 77-53 loss at the hands of DSST: College View on Saturday. Sheridan lost against DSST: College View in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-40 score last time.
Sheridan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bobby Garcia, who scored 22 points, and Armando Monarrez who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Garcia scored a full 41.5% of Sheridan's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Hernandez , who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Isaias Tomita continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for DSST: College View, scoring 20 points along with 6 steals. The contest was Tomita's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Josue Tomita was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The last time Sheridan won on the road was back on Saturday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-4. As for DSST: College View, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheridan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Estes Park at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for DSST: College View, they will take on Dawson School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
