Soccer Recap: La Canada Comes Up Short

If La Canada was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of San Marino last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The La Canada Spartans fell just short of the Monrovia Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-1 back in December of 2024.

La Canada's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-3. As for Monrovia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Canada has already played their next match (against South Pasadena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Monrovia will head out on the road to square off against San Marino at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
