Football Recap: Jackson Starts Season with Win Against Hardaway

Jackson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over the Hardaway Hawks. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Red Devils had established a 28-point advantage.

Danarri Brown was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 162 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and one TD. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jaison McCall also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will take on Mary Persons at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Hardaway, they will face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
