Softball Recap: Elmwood Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Elmwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ada Bulldogs on Monday, sneaking past 2-1.

Elmwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Ada, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Elmwood will host Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 12.1 runs per game this season. As for Ada, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
