            Baseball Recap: Flatirons Academy Bison vs. Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Flatirons Academy won against Peetz  last Saturday with 17  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. Flatirons Academy beat the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  17-2. The  victory was just business as usual for the Bison, who after four games remain undefeated  this season.
 Noah Evans made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Evans was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.

 In other batting news,  Mateo Pope and  Everson Nelson did most of the damage at the plate:  Pope  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI, while  Nelson  went 3-for-4 with two  triples, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  Pope a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Micah Doughty, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Flatirons Academy's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-0.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 11.2 runs thus far As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-3.
 Coming up, Flatirons Academy will head out to  face off against Front Range Christian  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Flatirons Academy 2, Front Range Christian 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles  take on  SkyView Academy Hawks at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
