Volleyball Game Preview: Northern Durham Knights vs. East Chapel Hill Wildcats + How To Watch

Northern Durham hasn't had much luck against East Chapel Hill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Northern Durham duked it out with Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Spartans 3-0.

Chapel Hill came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against East Chapel Hill, but Lucy Tisch wouldn't allow it. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Tuesday with plenty of help from Tisch, who had 28 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

East Chapel Hill got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-16, 32-30, 23-25, 16-14.

East Chapel Hill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Northern Durham, their record now sits at 10-8.

Northern Durham might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from East Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tisch, who had 17 digs and four aces. Now that the Knights know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time?
