Basketball Recap: Sweet Springs Takes a Loss

Sweet Springs lost against Slater back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sweet Springs Greyhounds were beaten by the Slater Wildcats 95-52. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Wildcats are ranked 188th).

Sweet Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Slater, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Sweet Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-60 loss against Jamestown on the 29th. Slater has also already played their next game, a 52-49 victory against Glasgow on the 29th.
