Basketball Recap: Allentown Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Allentown Redbirds came up short against the Northern Burlington Greyhounds and fell 58-48.

Jillian Watson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northern Burlington, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards. Karina Harrison was another key player, putting up nine points and seven assists.

Allentown has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Northern Burlington, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allentown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hightstown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northern Burlington, they will challenge Thrive Charter at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Thrive Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Northern Burlington likes a good challenge.
