Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They came up short against the Boylan Catholic Titans on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The J-Hawks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16-2. As for Boylan Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-13.

Coming up, Jefferson will venture away from home to square off against Belvidere at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boylan Catholic, they will host Rockford East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The E-Rabs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.8 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
