Sacred Heart Prep is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Pinewood: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Sacred Heart Prep blew Pinewood out of the water with an 84-36 final score. Sacred Heart Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alberto De Bernardis, who went 9 of 13 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave De Bernardis a new career-high in points. Matthew Norris was another key player, going 9 for 14 on his way to 20 points.
Meanwhile, Priory waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 79-43 victory over the Panthers. Priory has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.
Sacred Heart Prep better focus on containing Teddy Xanthopoulos and Mate Palotai as the pair were huge in Priory's win. Xanthopoulos went 9 of 11 en route to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Palotai went 9 for 10 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. The contest was Palotai's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kasten Eggers, who posted nine points.
Sacred Heart Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Priory, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Sacred Heart Prep and Priory are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. However, it's not like Priory struggles in that department as they've been averaging 71.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything came up roses for Sacred Heart Prep against Priory in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 74-46 victory. In that matchup, Sacred Heart Prep amassed a halftime lead of 37-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
