Basketball Recap: Hartland Comes Up Short

Hartland fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Brighton on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to the Brighton Bulldogs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 130th).

Hartland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Brighton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Brighton, they will head out to take on Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th.
