            Softball Recap: Herscher Tigers vs. Streator Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            After soaring to 21  runs the game before, Herscher was a bit more limited  in their  match  on Monday. They came up short against  the Streator Bulldogs, falling  10-2. The  game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.

 Anistin Hackley was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Hackley wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Keira Ahramovich, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Herscher's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Streator,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-5.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Herscher beat the Bulldogs by a score of  13-3 on Tuesday.
