It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln East had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Millard South Patriots with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, Troy Peltz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Jeter Worthley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Lincoln East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard South only posted a batting average of .259.

Lincoln East has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Millard South, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-12.
