Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy-Johnston Comes Up Short

American Leadership Academy-Johnston was the 13-11 winner over Wallace-Rose Hill when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell 8-3 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton McMahon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. McMahon also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston's record is now 10-4. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Looking ahead, American Leadership Academy-Johnston will be playing at home against Village Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will challenge North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
