Mitchell hadn't done well against Bridgeport recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their eight-match losing streak.

Their offense was headlined by Ellison Paetow and Reese Sauer, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kapri Stover and her seven assists. Adisyn Wetherington controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Bridgeport had strong showings from Ella Schluterbusch, who had nine digs and one assist, and Kayci Sorenson, who had ten digs.

Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 4-20. As for Bridgeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Mitchell will venture away from home to square off against Morrill at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridgeport, they will welcome Scottsbluff on Tuesday.
