Volleyball Recap: East Lincoln Comes Up Short

East Lincoln came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Kings Mountain Mountaineers. The Mustangs have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-15.

Kings Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Tipton out in front who had 18 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Tipton has posted over her last eight matchups. Another player making a difference was Abigail Hedgepath, who had 14 digs and three aces.

East Lincoln now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Kings Mountain, their victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Lincoln will venture away from home to face off against Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kings Mountain, they will head out to challenge Forestview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Mountaineers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
