Softball Recap: Browne Bruins vs. North Mustangs
Browne can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against the North Mustangs as the Browne Bruins made off with a 12-1 win. Winning may never get old, but Browne sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Shayla Munoz made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Munoz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Munoz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with a double.
In other batting news, Anahi Rocha was a standout: she went 4-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Tunisia Rios was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with four runs, a triple, and a double.
On North's side, Natalie Figueroa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run.
