Football Game Preview: Washington Eagles vs. Kashmere Fighting Rams + Official Tickets

The Washington Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Kashmere Fighting Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Washington is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Worthing just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against the Colts, falling 28-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Even if they lost, Washington's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Reginald Jones, Dexter Williams, and Korey Lavalais, who each picked up one sack apiece. Washington got some further help from Jones: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Kashmere was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 28-24 to Northside. The Fighting Rams have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Kashmere's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Washington, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Washington against Kashmere in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 62-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
