Basketball Recap: Jaden Sellers Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Austin

Midfield proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 33) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over the Austin Black Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since February 27th.

Midfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Sellers, who went 8 of 12 en route to 18 points. That's the most points Sellers has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Midfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Austin, they moved to 12-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Midfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-46 win against Smiths Station on the 26th. As for Austin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-53 loss against Huntsville on the 26th.
