Volleyball Recap: Escondido Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Oceanside on Tuesday, Escondido Charter came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the San Pasqual Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Escondido Charter actually scored more points across those five sets (108-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 28-26, 8-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-10.

CLARISSA GOSS paced Escondido Charter's offense, picking up eight kills. GOSS really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with EMMA LYAN, racking up five apiece.

Talia Travassos had an outrageously good game for San Pasqual as she had 11 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Travassos a new career-high in assists (44).

Escondido Charter now has a losing record of 1-2.

Escondido Charter has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Calvin Christian on the 26th. As for San Pasqual, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against El Capitan on the 26th.
