Softball Game Preview: Paradise Panthers vs. Pilot Point Bearcats

The Paradise Panthers will challenge the Pilot Point Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paradise's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Whitesboro hitters got past them. The Panthers came up short against the Bearcats on Friday, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Paradise saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacy Pollard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pilot Point challenged Ponder on Saturday. The Bearcats lost 16-3 to the Lions.

Pilot Point has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Paradise, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7-2.

Everything went Paradise's way against Pilot Point in their previous matchup back in March, as Paradise made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
