After losing to Cactus the last time they met, Kellis decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Kellis Cougars walked away with a 65-58 win over the Cactus Cobras on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kellis was led to victory by Zion Woods and Jordan Parrish. Woods went 6 for 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and five boards, while Parrish went 11 of 13 on his way to 23 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Parrish has scored at least a third of Kellis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincee Wilson, who posted nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Kellis was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cactus only racked up 13 assists.

Cactus lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Xavier Ledet, who had 22 points. The match was Ledet's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Thiesse, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Kellis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Cactus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Kellis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-48 defeat against West Point on the 28th. As for Cactus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-60 loss against Highland Prep on the 28th.
