Baseball Recap: MAST Community Charter Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

It was a proper cat-fight when MAST Community Charter took on Calvary Christian Academy on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 16-11 victory over the Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Tommy Zazulak, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. A.J. Santulli also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

MAST Community Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, MAST Community Charter will challenge Bristol at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will face off against Collegium Charter at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Cougar at the right time seeing as the Cougar are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
