Volleyball Recap: Las Animas Comes Up Short

Las Animas lost against McClave back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-10.

Jadann Eck paced Las Animas' offense, picking up four kills. Eck got some help from Johanna Alvarado and her four assists. Alvarado also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Russell, each putting up two.

Las Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for McClave, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Las Animas will challenge Swink at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McClave, they will host Eads at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
