Recap: Sedan Devils vs. Udall Eagles
If the Sedan Devils were feeling good off their 57-26 takedown of the Central Raiders last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sedan took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Udall. Sedan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Udall apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Udall found their leader in underclassman Lilly Hoffman, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayl Knapp, who scored six points along with six assists and three steals.
Sedan's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Udall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sedan will take on Flinthills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flinthills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sedan in Kansas (Flinthills is ranked 126th, while Sedan is ranked 268th). Udall will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sedan at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
