Basketball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 26-26 at halftime, Kennedy was not quite West Seneca East's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell 68-56 to the West Seneca East Trojans. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Maxwell Czora was a one-man wrecking crew for West Seneca East as he went 11 of 16 en route to 24 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Czora a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Brady Murdoch, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Kennedy's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Seneca East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Cleveland Hill in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on December 16th at. As for West Seneca East, they will square off against Medina at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
