Recap: Calhoun City Wildcats vs. Houlka Wildcats
Even though the Houlka Wildcats scored an imposing 69 points on Saturday, the Calhoun City Wildcats still came out on top. Calhoun City walked away with a 76-69 win over Houlka. That's two games straight that Calhoun City has won by exactly seven points.
When it comes to explaining why Houlka lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nehemiah Flemmings. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Neal Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Calhoun City's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Houlka, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun City will take on Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Houlka and Vardaman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
