Baseball Recap: River Road Comes Up Short

River Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Palo Duro Dons, falling 23-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 18-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

River Road saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthoney Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. What's more, Williams posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Aaron Lovett also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

River Road's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Palo Duro, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats duke it out with the Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palo Duro, they will take on Sunset at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
