Basketball Recap: Fayetteville-Perry Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Fayetteville-Perry had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Christina Murphy did her part to make it eight on Monday. The Fayetteville-Perry Rockets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the West Union Dragons 80-44 thanks in part to Murphy, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Fayetteville-Perry's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for West Union, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Fayetteville-Perry will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Whiteoak at 6:00 p.m. Fayetteville-Perry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season. As for West Union, they and Felicity-Franklin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. West Union is facing Felicity-Franklin at the right time seeing as Felicity-Franklin is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
