Baseball Game Preview: Master's Academy Patriots vs. Orchard Park Quakers

The Master's Academy Patriots will face off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Master's Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Master's Academy didn't have quite enough to beat John Carroll Catholic and fell 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

Master's Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Celano, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Orchard Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Canisius 13-3 on Monday. The Quakers have beaten the Crusaders the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Crusaders has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Luke Staniszewski, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Wieszczecinski, who scored two runs.

Master's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Orchard Park, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
