Baseball Game Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Tate Aggies

For the second straight game, Fletcher will face off against Tate. The Senators will head out to challenge the Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fletcher's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Tate's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fletcher heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Wednesday. They fell 3-0 to Tate. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Senators were not able to get on the board.

For Tate's part, the result came thanks to Zane Warrington's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. Warrington also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Aggies are undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 10-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tate's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Posta, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Cal Foxworth also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9-1. As for Tate, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
