Taft proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Warren Warriors. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Camilla Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jacelyn Parks was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Taft's record now sits at 18-6. As for Warren, they moved to 12-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Taft and Warren will both be playing Sotomayor the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the WILDCATS at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
