Basketball Recap: BASIS - Ahwatukee Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact BASIS - Ahwatukee can now relate to. They took a hard 54-37 fall against the Sequoia Charter Stallions on Saturday. While losing is never fun, BASIS - Ahwatukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Sequoia Charter is ranked 21st).

BASIS - Ahwatukee's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sequoia Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

BASIS - Ahwatukee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sequoia Charter, they will face off against Ridgeline Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ridgeline Academy comes in on 14 and Sequoia Charter on 11.
