Washington County and Bertie are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2022, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. Washington County is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, everything went Washington County's way against Martin County as Washington County made off with a 57-35 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

That makes it three consecutive games in which Carter Jr. has scored at least a third of Washington County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Phelps, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Tarboro typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Bertie proved too difficult a challenge. They slipped by the Vikings 54-53.

Bertie has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Washington County, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
