Football Recap: Broad Run Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Broad Run can now relate to. They fell 26-18 to the Heritage Pride on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-19 back in September.

Paul Layne threw for 152 yards on 15 of 23 attempts. Mason Schwenke was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Caleb Pavlus rushed for 32 yards and one score.

Broad Run's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Broad Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will challenge Loudoun County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Captains' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Pride's offense will have their work cut out for them.
