University's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Trailblazers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 3-0 doesn't show just how dominant University was: they took every set by at least ten points. After all that action, the final score was 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.

University was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Shortridge only served five.

Vanessa Alonso and Isabella Sellers certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Alonso had 11 digs, while Sellers had four digs.

The victory got University back to even at 5-5. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

University will face off against Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. University is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they will square off against Park Tudor at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
