Softball Recap: Merritt Island Has No Trouble Against Titusville

Merritt Island never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Titusville Terriers. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Rindi Amos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Amos was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Zoey Allen and Elena Rollen did most of the damage at the plate: Allen went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Rollen scored a run while going 2-for-2. That home run was Allen's first of the season. Gianna Elliott was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
