Softball Recap: Climax-Scotts Has No Trouble Against Galesburg-Augusta

Climax-Scotts won the last time they faced Galesburg-Augusta and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers blew past the Rams 13-2. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Holly Talbert was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Reitz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Climax-Scotts kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Galesburg-Augusta only managed five hits.

The victory got Climax-Scotts back to even at 9-9. As for Galesburg-Augusta, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will host Martin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galesburg-Augusta, they will be playing at home against Kalamazoo Christian at 12:00 p.m. on the 31st.
