Softball Recap: D.H. Conley Makes It Five in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but D.H. Conley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cleveland Rams by a score of 6-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kendall Howard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 25 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Reagan Stocks was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Harper Bradley was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

D.H. Conley pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-6.

D.H. Conley has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against South Caldwell on the 30th. Cleveland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
