Volleyball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was the 3-2 winner over Frederick Douglass when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Broncos on Thursday.

Sayre's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 29-7. As for Frederick Douglass, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-15.

Sayre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Paul Laurence Dunbar on the 27th. As for Frederick Douglass, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Franklin County on the 27th.
