Softball Recap: Christopher Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christopher extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 15-7. They blew past the Del Mar Dons 20-2. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Katelyn Vega looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Christopher got a massive performance out of Audrina Cabanlit, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Loredo, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Christopher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

As for Del Mar, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 18 runs.

On Del Mar's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Degadillo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Christopher wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Prospect on the 12th. As for Del Mar, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-8 loss against Pioneer on the 12th.
