Recap: Wallace Wildcats vs. Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves

The Wallace Wildcats struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves had 1000% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Wallace ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-30 walloping at the hands of Maywood/Hayes Center. Wallace has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaley Sauser was Wallace's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Kendyl Flaming held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Flaming took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

Maywood/Hayes Center found their leader in underclassman Karissa Stengel, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals. Kesli Cox was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Wallace's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wallace will take on Sandhills/Thedford at TBD on Thursday. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, they will be playing at home against Southwest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Southwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
